Talwandi Sabo Power Limited has worked in tandem with the district administration in the fight against COVID-19 reaching out to the villages in the vicinity especially needy families and the frontline workers in the health and police administration.
25 Lakhs was contributed to Punjab Chief Minister's Relief Fund by TSPL and 3000 kgs of ration support for langar service to Takht Sri Damdama Sahib gurudwara one of the five holy shrines of Sikhism, situated in Talwandi Sabo, Punjab to feed more than 20,000 poor people.
Sanitization & Disinfection
Extensive sanitization and disinfection was carried out in Mansa town and all other common areas around the plant vicinity like gurudwaras, health centres and police check-posts. Every door and corner of the neighbouring villages were disinfected by TSPL as a precautionary measure.
Support to Community
525 dry ration packets distributed to the poor families around the plant and 1066 soaps distributed to encourage handwashing and personal hygiene. All common areas like panchayat house and gurudwaras were sanitized and disinfected in the nearby villages.
Covid Safety kits
Kits comprising of masks and soaps provided to media fraternity and the farmers who are working in the fields around the plant. Their crucial work cannot be ceased due to a pandemic.
Support to District Administration
Extensive sanitation and disinfection drive carried out in Mansa town. To ensure disinfection drives are regularly conducted in the town by the administration, TSPL provided Chemical safety suits and goggles. Further, 2499 masks provided to health workers and district administration by TSPL.
Support to Police Administration
To safeguard the health of the policemen on COVID19 duty TSPL has regularly disinfected police stations & check posts, conducted regular health check-up camps and provided essential services to police personnel.
