Anil Agarwal Foundation

The umbrella entity of Vedanta’s social impact initiatives to create strong, inclusive & resilient communities in India.

Our Vision

Empowering communities, transforming lives, and facilitating nation-building through sustainable and inclusive growth.

Our Mission

The foundation always adheres to the highest ethical standards. With a strong focus on women and children, the core vision is to eliminate hunger so that "no one goes hungry to bed".

Apart from healthcare, education, skill development, sports, art & culture, environment and animal welfare are the major thematic areas, the foundation also endeavors to address national and local crises as and when they occur. The implementation of projects is driven by the need for a strong connect with grassroot communities by leveraging technology. At the heart of the Foundation's efforts is a deep and abiding commitment to nation building and the upliftment of the poor and marginalized.

To unlock the full potential of communities and become valuable contributors to India’s growth story, the Anil Agarwal Foundation (AAF) has rolled out a plan to invest Rs. 5000 crores over the next 5 years in social impact projects with a focus on healthcare, nutrition, women & child development, animal welfare, and grassroots level sports.

Holistic Nutrition through Multi Millet Nutri Bar

To extend the mission of making India malnutrition free, Anil Agarwal Foundation (AAF), launched a nutrition initiative for children in March 2023, with an aim to provide them with millet-based nutritious food at the Nand Ghars, and contribute towards celebrating the International Year of Millets.

Under this pilot launch, AAF is distributing around 9 million nutri-bars to almost 50,000 children aged 3- 6 years daily across 1400 Nand Ghars in UP, for 6 months.

As a part of its thematic intervention on right nourishment, Nand Ghar collaborated with Nutri-hub, IIMR (Indian Institute of Millet Research) and Troo Good to develop a nutri-bar that provides adequate amount of nutrition which is required for the optimal growth and well-being of children. The multi millet nutrition bar consists of jowar crisps, ragi crisps, oats, jaggery, peanut, watermelon seeds and brown rice syrup as key ingredients and is available in exciting flavors. It has been launched in tandem with the government’s initiative to promote millets in one’s daily diet.
